Our Team

Anika Awasthi, Founder

As the founder of Grad Careers Coach, I’ve spoken to thousands of international students over the past 5 years and I know how challenging it is to find and apply to graduate jobs with visa sponsorship. It can feel impossible to secure a job here, and so few are successful. In reality, I know that there are many UK employers who would value the skills and diversity that you would bring and would be willing to sponsor you. All you need is the right support and guidance to help you secure a job offer and start your exciting career. This is our mission.

Daniel Costello, Coach

After graduating in Psychology, I joined Shell via their HR Graduate Programme. Over 9 years at Shell, I held a number of different HR roles (mainly as a Business Partner/Senior Business Partner, but with some stints in Learning & Development and Recruitment) across a variety of business areas, in the UK and globally (Trading, Upstream Engineering, Downstream Commercial and Corporate IT/Digitalisation). Following my time at Shell, I joined Fujitsu, where I currently work as a Senior HR Business Partner within the North West Europe Business.

I have experience delivering various workshops on-campus and in-house on interview techniques, CV writing, personal branding, online testing and assessment centres. I am also CIPD qualified with a Level 7 qualification in HRM, Resourcing and Talent Management where I passed with 90% Distinction. Laura Halstead, Coach

I started working in Graduate Recruitment when I graduated 5 years ago. I have had recruitment roles in three different industries: Engineering, Investment Banking and Hospitality. In my current role as Graduate Recruiter at Morgan Stanley I recruit for interns and graduates across a number of divisions. I enjoy covering all aspects of the recruiting cycle from attraction and meeting candidates at recruitment events to managing the full selection process and then working closely with successful candidates when they join one of our Graduate Programmes. I enjoy helping people reach their full potential and hope that my passion for Graduate Recruitment can help international students kick start their career.

Elizabeth Weeks, Coach

Having completed my undergraduate degree in Sociology with Human Resource Management and worked in graduate recruitment for the last three and a half years I am able to advise on all aspects of the application process. Working in the financial sector recruiting both interns and graduates gives me a clear and detailed understanding of the graduate recruitment process. I look forward to using my experience to help international students successfully complete their graduate applications.
